Royals need to concentrate on Championship survival


Pinch me, but watching Reading FC on Saturday against a poor Burnley side in the FA Cup made me wonder whether there are two teams, one for the league and one for the cup. Reading looked solid, if not spectacular and they were calm and assured at the back, which has been lacking this season. In front of goal still was an enigma as several easy chances went a begging. Whilst we may dream of Wembley we cannot afford to fall out of the Championship. Whilst I don't think we will and am pleased with the loan signings of Andy Griffin, Zurab Khizanishvill and Thorvaldsson we have to take points off Sheefield United, Tuesday night and home to Barnsley next Saturday. Like most Royals fans I believe Brian McDermott should be given the managers job as we have played some good football against Premier League opposition. However, the real games start at Sheffield
