83 years of hurt gone 6th Round here we come

It is hard to believe that the Royals, currently fifth from bottom of the Championship can outplay promotion favourites West Brom, be behind for most of the second half, score in the last minute and against all odds win away from home again. Brian McDermott deserves praise for bringing in Tabb as a replacement for Gunnarsson and keeping faith with the team througohut the second half and extra time. Gylfi is an excellent young player who no doubt will grace the Premier League soon, hopefully with the Royals. His winning goal was pure class.

Already we are written off by the pundits and no doubt by the Villa fans who should watch videos of our previous games. Reading have shown that they are durable right ot the death with another equaliser in injury time and a winner in extra time. Who knows how far we can go as we have nothing to lose.

We do however, have everything to lose if we fail to beat Sheffield Wednesday at home on Saturday. Hopefully we are not too tired or drained after tonights game. This is a different situation than the FA Cup and we still need the points to stave off relegation. Not sure if we will win and we may have to settle for a draw in what could be a dour game. I am confident however, that we have the talent and character within the team to climb the table. The next three weeks are crucial to our season with a glamour game against Villa in the cup and three games against teams also in the relegation mire. Wouldn't it be great to win all four games.
