New Lane Hill Traffic Weight monitoring

Your Local Team of Southcote Labour Councillors have successfully pressed the council to continue to monitor lorries and heavy goods vehicles, such as skip lorries illegally travelling up New Lane Hill. Reading Borough Council have successfully prosecuted a number of companies who persist in breaking the weight restrictions for vehicles travelling along New Lane Hill. Local residents of New Lane Hill have told us that many lorries have stopped using the hill but the persistent offenders have continued to use New Lane Hill rather than the agreed authorised routes. I expect that they will regret this illegal action.
