Governors meeting English Martyrs Primary School

As a governor of two schools I attended both Governor's meetings, starting with English Martyrs Catholic Primary. The Governors work very hard for the school and the governing body are very "hands on" assisting the new Head Teacher, Jamie and his staff raise attainment and ensure the pupils reach their full potential. When I visit the school and observe the classes and assembly I am always impressed with the inclusive and caring atmosphere that is around the school. Every child is valued and included in the activities. This was very much identified in last years OFSTED report. The main objective of the school is to raise the individual attainment of the children and plans to assess and monitor every child's educational progress is very much in place. If we get this right then we will get close to our aims and objectives in 2010.
